Ah yes..midterm season! Courtney has her studio art midterm mon-wed. this week, she already has her grade for her French2R oral exam (100% Praise God!) and her violin midterm was a 90%. Fri. before leaving for the youth for Christ convention she has Honors English, followed by the written portion of French2R. Then next week she has: (one exam per day, all at 8 a.m.!!): Honors Global History, Math10R, BiologyR so...she probably won't be online much! BLessings to you and your tests!

Not exactly; I have a flood of tests about every other week, but no exams until the very end of the year, unless you happen to call all tests, exams. It sounds like Courtney is doing very well in her school. :-)

So far so good. Are you going to Excel this weekend? You can read about the changes to it on my blog. Courtney is allowed to go this year but only because of the more structured discussions. She is hoping to see some "old church" buddies! she is doing HW right now otherwise I would show her your blog.

Hey there! you need another post on here! :)

You must write about all the interesting things you are studying.

Who is this Faith person? Very much a bragger it would seem comparing her daughter's tests to college exams? I don't understand why Christians do this to other Christians I'm sure it does not make the Lord very happy. It seems candy coated but yet there is a sword there to pierce in some way.
I guess in some way it validates the person saying these things. I don't know you but God bless you Elly and I hope you do well at college, your writings are very interesting. I just happened to stumble upon your blog.

Dear Anon: at my daughter's high school they call the mid year tests "mid-term exams" (at least that is what the parent paper from her Studio art course said). I am not trying to compare college with high school. (they also call the June exams "final exams or Regents exams, depending on which course of study you are following to graduate). And Elly is in high school not college (the author of this blog). I was just sharing with Elly about my daughter as my daughter and she are old friends and my daughter is not allowed to spend much time on the computer, so she hasn't had a chance to email Elly in awhile.
